Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation was created in the year 2000 by the Mircrosoft founder Bill Gates. It has the aim to advance the health care in less developed countries. Thus, the foundation has set up funding programmes to support research about diseases which are mainly present in less developed countries, such as HIV, malaria or tuberculosis.  The foundation also allocate grants for students.
