Funding Opportunities
Funding and Grants in Germany
Robert Bosch Foundation
The Robert Bosch Foundation was created in 1964 with the goal of continuing the non-profit and social efforts of the philanthropist and entrepreneur Robert Bosch (1861-1942). As a German corporate association foundation, it is active in both funding and organisation.
Science and research are supported, as well as a range of other fields. There is a special emphasis on the support of young people. In this, the foundation aims to bring youth and technology together. In line with this philosophy, for example, research establishments are supported by the ‘NaT-Working Award’, which works together with schools. Applications can be submitted until at the end of January and the award is granted in September.
Within the framework of the program ‘Agrarian and Forest Sciences’, graduate students who are commencing their studies can apply for scholarships. A goal of the foundation is an enduring development of the land and forestry in East and Central Europe as well as in the tropical and subtropical regions. Currently, however, only one application in line with the International Doctorate Program of the Center for Development Research (Zentrum für Entwicklungsforschung, ZEF) is possible. For enquiries, please consult the ZEF directly.
